Sarah Wallworth ( 1697 - 1758 )

 

27.          SARAH WALLWORTH  (of John4 , of Thomas3 , of Thomas2 , of Thomas1 ) was born November 16, 1697 (16 day 9 month 1697) at Appleton, Cheshire, England.  The birth is recorded in the Quaker records of the Cheshire (and Staffordshire) Quarterly Meeting.

Sarah Wollsworth and (her half-niece) Elizh Wollswth. were two of the witnesses at the marriage of John Bradley son of John Bradley of Aldersley, Cheshire, yeoman and Mary Chrimes of Weverham, Cheshire, widow at the public meeting house at Frandley, Cheshire on March 8, 1721/1722 (8th day of ye 1st month “vulgarly called March” 1721).  The marriage is recorded in the Quaker records of the Cheshire (and Staffordshire) Quarterly Meeting.

Sarah Wallworth married THOMAS SAVAGE  on February 3, 1735/1736 (3 day 12 month 1735) at Newton, Cheshire.  Both were of Appleton, Cheshire.  The marriage was recorded in the Quaker records.  Note: the marriage date needs to be rechecked.

It is not known when or where Thomas Savage was born or died.

They lived in Appleton, Cheshire.

Thomas and Sarah Savage were among the witnesses at the marriage of her brother John Wallworth and Katherine Clare at the public meeting house in Penketh, Lancashire, England on April 24, 1741 (Twenty fourth day of the second month called Aprill 1741).  The marriage is recorded in the Quaker records of Hardshaw Monthly Meeting.

Sarah Savage died at the age of 60 in Appleton on August 19, 1758 (19 day 8 month 1758) and was buried August 21, 1758 (21 day 8 month 1758) at Over Whitley, Cheshire.  The death and burial is recorded in the Quaker records of the Cheshire (and Staffordshire) Quarterly Meeting.

Sarah’s brother, John Wallworth, had his last Will and Testament written in 1759.  The Will mentioned her husband, Thomas Savage, and their three children.

Thomas Savage was living in 1765 when he declined to be an executor of John Wallworth’s Last Will and Testament when it was being proved.

33.          MARY SAVAGE    was born November 9, 1736 (9 day 9 month 1736) in Appleton, Cheshire.  The birth is recorded in the Quaker records of the Cheshire (and Staffordshire) Quarterly Meeting.  She was mentioned in her uncle John Wallworth’s Will that was dated 1759 and proven 1765.

 

34.          ELIZABETH SAVAGE    was born August 8, 1738 (8 day 6 month 1738) in Appleton, Cheshire.  The birth is recorded in the Quaker records of the Cheshire (and Staffordshire) Quarterly Meeting.  She was mentioned in her uncle John Wallworth’s Will that was dated 1759 and proven 1765.

 

35.          JOSEPH SAVAGE    was born November 17, 1740 (17 day 9 month 1740) in Appleton, Cheshire.  The birth is recorded in the Quaker records of the Cheshire (and Staffordshire) Quarterly Meeting.

Joseph Savage was mentioned in his uncle John Wallworth’s Last Will and Testament that was dated 1759 and proven in 1765.  John Wallworth of Appleton gave his estate to his sister, Mary Wallworth, with the provision that the estate will go to his nephew Joseph Savage when she dies.
