PHILIP ADAMS ( ? - ? )
Philip was the father of the Fanny Bird of Creeksea, Essex. He married Elizabeth ---?--- . They lived in Burnham and Southminster, Essex. He was an Agricultural Laborer.
JAMES ADAMS (1793 -? )
James was baptized in Southminster, Essex. James Adams may be the same person of the same name who married Mary Wilsmore in the mid-1830's in Southend on Sea, Essex. They then moved to Canewdon, Essex around 1836 to 1837 and had several children born there. He was an Agricultural Laborer.
FRANCES ADAMS (1801 - 1887) ~ Fanny Bird the Witch of Creeksea ~
Frances Adams better know to history as Fanny Bird the Witch of Creeksea. She was born in Burnham or Southminster, Essex where she was baptized. Frances married 1st. Thomas Westwood, then 2nd. Thomas Bird. The stories about her being a witch was recorded by Eric Maple when he was investigating the Dengie Hundred of Essex for Witchcraft traditions which he concluded in 1960.
ELIZABETH WESTWOOD (1829-1913)
Elizabeth was one of the three daughters of Fanny Bird by her first husband Thomas Westwood. She was born in Creeksea, Essex. Elizabeth married 1st. William Green. They lived in Creeksea, Essex. Then Elizabeth married 2nd. Francis Barham. They lived in Leyton, Ilford, and Wanstead, Essex.
ELIZA WESTWOOD (1835-1922)
Eliza was one of the three daughters of Fanny Bird by her first husband Thomas Westwood. She was born in Creeksea or Ostend, Essex. Eliza Westwood lived in Burnham, Essex and then Bradwell, Essex where she married William Bowtle and lived there most of her life.
HANNAH WESTWOOD (1840-1923)
Hannah was one of the three daughters of Fanny Bird by her first husband Thomas Westwood. She was born in Creeksea or Ostend, Essex. Hannah Westwood then lived in Mayland, Essex. Hannah married 1st. George William Hemstead. They lived in Foulness, Essex where she spent most of her life. Then Hannah married 2nd. William Barber.
JAMES GREEN (1847 - ? )
James Green was one of Fanny Bird's grandsons. He was born in Creeksea, Essex and was a son of William Green and Elizabeth Westwood. James Green lived in Munden and Foulness, Essex. He married Ellen Hammond. They lived in Leyton, Walthanstow, and West Ham, Essex. He was an Agricultural Labourer. In 1871, James Green was lodging and working together in the same farm in Foulness with William Punt the man who later married one of George Pickingill's daughters.
HENRY GREEN (1850- ? )
Henry Green was one of Fanny Bird's grandsons. He was born in Creeksea, Essex and was a son of William Green and Elizabeth Westwood. Henry Green was an Agricultural Labourer. He lived in Foulness, Essex in 1871 and then his trail vanish.
