2.          SARAH HIGBY was born ca. 1792 in Birch, Essex.

 

Father:       Burdock Higby        (No. 1)

Mother:      Sarah  --- ? ---

 

 

Sarah Higby married 1st. a Mr. ---?--- COLE in the 1830’s or earlier.

 

Mr. Cole died in 1838 or earlier.

 

Sarah Cole then married to SAMUEL BINKS on September 8, 1838 at the church St. Andrew Holborn, London.

In 1841, Samuel and Sarah Binks were living in Great Maplestead, Essex.  Samuel was a Higler.

From the 1841 Census of Great Maplestead, Essex, we find the following:

Louisa Tucker and the children are the daughter and grandchildren of Samuel Binks from his first wife.  You can see from the marriage record of Samuel Binks and Sarah (Higby) Cole that Thomas and Louisa Tucker were witnesses.

 

In 1851, Samuel and Sarah Binks were living in Great Maplestead, Essex.  Samuel was a Higler.

From the 1851 Census of Great Maplestead, Essex, we find the following:

Between 1851 and 1861, Sarah Binks died.

 

In 1861, Samuel Binks, a widower, was living in Great Maplestead, Essex.  Samuel was a retired Fowl Dealer.  His granddaughter, Louisa Tucker, was living with him.

From the 1861 Census of Great Maplestead, Essex, we find the following:

We do not know if Sarah had any children with her first husband, Mr. Cole.  But it doesn’t look like she had any children with the second husband, Samuel Binks.
