26.           GEORGE CHARLES COX  was born in North Shoebury, Essex.   According to the cemetery stone, the birth date is May 20, 1859.  But when looking at the censuses, the date of 1860 is also posssible for the birth.

In 1874, The Cox family immigrated from England to Canada.   They settled in Fitzroy, Carleton, Ontario Province.  George’s Uncle and Aunt, William and Martha Smith, went to Fitzroy earlier in 1873.

 

In 1881, George Charles Cox, age 20, a Brick maker, was living with his parents in Fitzroy, Carlton, Ontario.

Mary Ann was born September 8, 1859 according to the cemetery stone.   But the marriage record, the 1891 census, and death record suggests 1861 or 1862 as the birth year.
