Mary Pickingill ( 1780 ? )
5. MARY PICKINGILL was christened February 20, 1780 at the church in Canewdon, Essex. She was a daughter of Thomas and Martha (Cliver) Pickingill.
The entry from the parish register for 1780 says Pickingell Mary Dr of Thomas & Martha Feby 20th.
Father: Thomas Pickingill (No.1)
Mother: Martha Cliver
Mary Pickingill married JOB TAYLOR on December 18, 1799 at the church in Canewdon, Essex.
The marriage entry in the Canewdon parish register for 1799 says:
Job Taylor, Bachelor, & Mary Pickengill, Spinster, both of this Parish were married in this Church by Banns this Eighteenth day of December 1799. by me W. Atkinson Curate
This Marriage was solemnized between us
Job
Taylor
Mary Pickingill X her Mark
In the Presence of us
Thos Pickengill
Wm Aldridge
Job and Mary (Pickingill) Taylor seemed to have moved to another location since there is no entries of them having children or they being buried in Canewdon.
There are some Taylors that show up in the Canewdon parish registers in the 19th century, it is possible that these Taylors who were born in places other than Canewdon could be part of the above family that have later came back to Canewdon.
More research is needed.
